Our Mission

Thrive Living provides group living and accommodation for young people leaving care. Our mission is to create a safe and supportive community where our residents can develop life skills and achieve their goals. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to thrive and we are committed to providing the resources and support necessary for our residents to succeed.

We work closely with local organizations and service providers to ensure that our residents have access to the resources they need to succeed. Thrive Living Accommodation

 

The Heart of Sheffield,

​

A 6-bedroom detached property in the center of Sheffield which can provide supported living for six young people. Recently refurbished to a high standard, we offer a large bedroom for each young person with safety locks. Each bedroom contains a bed and furniture, with enough space to incorporate a quiet study area. The communal lounge has a digital television with games and a choice of films. The kitchen is a modern fully equipped kitchen with fridge and washing machine and appropriate cooking equipment.  The property is close to all local amenities including the tramlines, Train station/bus station, city center (within walking distance), school, college, and universities. 

 

We offer individual support packages according to the young persons need with the flexibility of 24/7 support. Working collaboratively is essential in planning what we need to be achieved with the young person and professionals and continual feedback which promotes our decision making. We believe that the wishes and feelings of the young person should be heard in regular weekly meetings. Encouragement of young people to participate in their plan towards independence with opportunities to participate in activities. We celebrate milestones and achievements.  We commit to providing equality as Sheffield is a city of diverse communities.  Our goal is to facilitate opportunities for young people to assimilate into these communities as part of their transition to independence. Weekends are a time to reflect and relax at Thrive Living and encourage the young people to communicate positively, we encourage this through a take-away evening and a movie.

Thrive Living provide shared accommodation for young people requiring UASC placements and have extensive experience to ensure the best possible outcomes. We have specialised staff and packages based on the young persons needs. Working on stability and building up a supportive network through the GP, health, dentist and Education providers. We work alongside the Local Authority and specialist agencies, aware that the support can change daily.
